040.JPG And there's a reason for that! Per my CC dealer... "Club Car stopped using the front strap because it was too much stress on the tank causing the top of the tank to crack" (I can't remember if it was a recall or not, but just using the rear strap fixed the issue!) Mark, I'm not sure if you want to stay OEM or not... If so? It'll be a "CC dealer only" part! BUT... David at Revolution Golf Cars should be able to get one for you! #1014928 - Rear Fuel Strap Assembly If not? Personally, I would probably use the widest, longest Zip ties I could find (24" to 36") tied together, and doubled/tripled up side to side to do the job. (Not ugly on your beautiful build, and they'd hold up under stress, coastal conditions, and possible fuel spillage.) |

Re: 2002 Gasser rebuild
idk...unless you're planning on jumping that thing, I can't see the fuel tank going anywhere with the one rear strap. I think there's a inch or two lip on the plate? I do remember it was a pain to get the strap back in those holes!

Re: 2002 Gasser rebuild
The body is still off, so will stall just long enough to get it put on.

Re: 2002 Gasser rebuild
Well I figured I better provide an update on this if anyone is watching...
Started with putting the body back on and noticed that there was a spot peeling, left it on long enough to work with the rear seat area as the uprights needed to be welded and bent to match where the holes would line up for the extended long top. That was interesting. Just turn your computer sideways.... |

Re: 2002 Gasser rebuild
Ran wiring to the front as I had the new dashboard all drilled out, body is back from paint and I placed it back on after I had terminated all the wires to the fuse block. I mounted the dash with a couple of screws so that I could start working on terminating the wires, couple of the switches are bad but will get a couple of more to replace them. Waiting on the rear seat to come back from powder.

Re: 2002 Gasser rebuild
Still need to run the wires for the fuel gauge and the oil pressure, shouldn't take long.
Also need to call CPP as the motor is not pumping fuel, still utilizing the old fuel pump from the cart, strange that it didn't come with one like mine did. Fuel lines are long in a CC with the motor being backwards.. |
