Gas club car question
I installed a 420cc engine on my club car. It is still slow as Christmas. My question is how do I make it fast or faster. Do I have to change clutch or change rear end? Thanks in advance

I'm not familiar with the 420cc motor. What did it come out of?

Re: Gas club car question
I am really not sure. I will try to find out. But guy I bought it from said I could buy a go cart clutch and put it on. Is that true? Will that work?

Re: Gas club car question
Start simply, have you checked the condition and the amount of slack on drive belt? A belt in poor condition, or that is too loose will hurt speed. Also, confirm the clutches are fully shifting out. The drive clutch on the engine should push the belt out to the largest OD at full throttle and the driven clutch should drop the belt to the smallest OD at full throttle.
