Default pre-mci rocker shaft end cap

does anyone know what kind of cap goes in the end of the rocker shaft of the head on a 295

mine is missing and need one or need to make something work

almost like a freeze plug

There shouldnt be much tension on that, but good luck finding one! You could probably use a freeze plug if you can find the right size. If not, maybe tap the hole, and use a short bolt with a little teflon tape on the threads?

Maybe see if someone here has a parts motor. Or call your local dealer many times theyll have core or junk engines laying around you can scrounge parts from

yea going to go and see what size hole it is and see if I can't find a freeze plug that works if I can't find one soon

the small parts that didn't come with the big parts i bought are adding up

I would install a cup type freeze plug. Stick a caliper in hole and see what size it is. Put some sealant on it and you should be good to go.

I looked close at a head today and looked like the cup plug was center punched in a few places to hold it tight. Not sure how one could come out. Tom.
