shipping a 295 gas engine?
What is the best way to ship a engine? I have a 350 and a couple 295s Im selling and need advice on shipping please. What is the best way to crate them? Who is the best carrier? Thanks

You can build a 3/8th ply wood box and bolt the engine to the bottom and cut 2 hand holds in 2 opposite sides.

Obviously drain the oil first. Then I would wrap it good in a trash bag and pack it in a box big enough to fit, and pack with heavy packing paper or foam. The motor without the clutch isnt very big. Then double box with a layer of peanuts between the 2 boxes. I've parted out a few 4wheelers on Ebay and this is how I've shipped motors. Never had a problem with UPS ground. And as long as it's under something like 70lbs they dont charge extra for oversized packages.
