Just curious
When I read about you guys saying the drive belt should be easy to roll off by hand, is that only for stock belts? Ever since I installed the extreme HD belt from CPP when I did my clutches, it’s super tight and there’s no way it’s coming off without some muscle. Is it supposed to be like that? Just wondering...

Re: Just curious
With the added thickness, and Kevlar with the Severe Duty belt, it defiantly takes a bit more muscle to roll it off.
The last time I took my belt off, it took my two hands to pull it to the side, and a friends hands to roll the driven clutch. |

Re: Just curious
Those heavy duty belts are tighter and have very little stretch.
Its sometimes easier to use a clutch remover tool and just pop the drive clutch off the motor then you have more than enough slack to roll the belt off to remove it. Then bolt the clutch back on. |
