Default Adding the bigger power jet

Hey guys

I added the bigger power jet from Dixie sales.

Also took out the baffles in the air box.

I feel I have less power climbing my driveway incline. Does fine on flat

Seems like a huge main jet size jump. Stock 82 to a 90

Anyone have good luck with this simple mod? Maybe getting to much fuel now?

When I took baffles out and put 90 jet in I put a free flowing air filter. Seems like I got more top end and torque at all speeds. We don't have hills but I didn't notice a problem on inclines.

Correct main jet size can depend on elevation. What's the average elevation of your area? At higher elevation (over 3,000ft ) you may need a smaller jet to make the AF ratio correct.

Adding the larger jet doesn't mean it will have more power. A larger jet is added when the cart has torque springs installed the clutch so it does not run as lean at higher rpm. The stock jet can cause an overly lean mixture at high rpm and lead to overheating. The larger jet helps reduce that affect.

Did you put torque spring in the clutch? Have the clutch machined? Any other work at the same time?
Are you running larger than stock tires?
