Default 88 ezgo marathon lack of power

Cut my muffler apart last night and cleaned
Some of the pipes had fell down inside
Going to weld them back up and replace the packing
Not going to pay 300 dollars for new one
Thinking about installing a bigger outlet pipe on the muffler anyone ever tryed that before
Looking for ideas

If this is a 4 stroke cart, any muffler will work ok. Sound wise, the stock muffler in stock form will be the quietest. Anything else will be louder, but will perform better. A larger outlet pipe would work fine, just be louder.

I'm not a 2 stoke guy but heard bad crank seals are pretty common on them,
also heard they have to have a certain amount of back pressure to run right.

I wouldn't put a bigger outlet pipe on it, as said above it needs back pressure to run right. Although the inner pipes may be what gets that back pressure so great idea to weld them back in, but I would guess the outlet pipe has a lot to do with it too.......

Keep it as stock as you can get it, that muffler is designed to get just the right amount of back pressure for the best performance.
