Default Replacement choice for EZGO driven clutch

I have an EZGO Workhorse (Serial No. : A39890, Manufacturing Code : M0696) which I am presuming is a 1996 model. The driven clutch has a few grooves at the bottom and is quite warped and I have trouble climbing hills and sometimes bogging down for no apparent reason. I removed the driven clutch no problem, it just has 'EZGO' '36' and 'HBA' stamped on it so I'm presuming it's a 36 degrees clutch (whatever that means). Because the cart is a workhorse maybe it has a " stronger" clutch so I think the correct replacement part is EZGO 26301G02 Driven Clutch, 4-Cycle (my cart has a Robin 295cc engine). I have replaced the fuel filter, carb and petrol pump then belatedly saw a few comments re clutch problems. What I think is the correct replacement part is very expensive and mostly not in stock but I do see 'High Torque' clutches advertised on Amazon - would the one advertised as ' High Torque EZGO Driven Clutch For 4-Cycle 91+ Model Golf Carts' be suitable for me ? It looks identical. Any help much appreciated as it's just coming into a great summer over here in NZ and I need to get out and play more golf !

Looking at the picture it does appear the part where belt runs has wear. What you would need would be the 28 degree clutch assembly.

I have had friends who bought aftermarket ones on ebay for less than $200 . The 28 degree would make that cart climb hills perfect.

To answer your question about the High Torque EZGO Driven Clutch For 4-Cycle 91+ Model Golf Carts . Yes that would work but I would ask if it is the 28 degree

Thanks for that - I've ordered the high torque clutch via Amazon, it is the 28 degree clutch.
