Default 1980 Yamaha (I think) runs only choke fully out

I believe it's an old G1 Yamaha golf cart. Only runs with the choke pulled all the way out. Don't see any air leaks. Assuming it's fuel injector? Carb? Any ideas?

If it’s an 80 G1 and your having to choke it a lot it’s time for crank seals

If you having to choke then you almost certainly have an air leak. Crank seals are always suspect. Other places to check are the read valve, head and base cylinder gaskets.

Crank seals are always suspect on a G1. But, as was already stated, the air leak can be anywhere.

While the cart is running, spray a little carb spray around the head gaskets and intake area and listen for a change in engine. If you spray carb cleaner around the crank seals, same thing, but be careful the carb spray can eat the rubber, just spray a tiny amount. Ether would also work, but highly explosive so do so sparingly and at your own risk. Propane also works.
