Default 2014 drive won’t go

Cart just stopped working on home 3 today. It happened twice before. I toggled the forward reverse lever a couple times and it worked. Not today. I can’t get any reaction. A check engine light is on above the hour meter. Battery is reading 12.65. Any help would be appreciated

With the seat off and key on do you hear the solenoid click when you hit the gas pedal?

Ok…I’m assuming you have a volt meter since you posted voltage…first what does the voltage drop to on the battery when solenoid clicks with leads on the battery? Second can you see the solenoid or is it under your motor cover out of view?

Ok when I press the gas and hear the click it drops down to about 12.4 and continues to drop of I hold the gas down. If I let off the gas it starts to climb back up

There is a little black plastic cover beside your battery towards the rear of cart...take that cover off(held in by a 5/16 or 10mm bolt on top and slides into holes on bottom). After you remove you will see a black or silver cylinder shaped object with 4 post(2 large and 2 small). That is your solenoid. Place your black probe from meter on main battery negative terminal and red probe on One large post on that solenoid...One of those post should have 12 volts all the time, the other large post should show nothing until you hit the pedal and hear that click and should then read 12 volts after click is heard...I'll add make sure rear wheels are up or cart is in neutral while doing test...If you don't have 12 volts on both terminals after the click bad solenoid...If you do have 12 volts on both after click we will move on to next test..being your starter/generator brushes...

First off, thanks so much for all of your help. When I place the negative on the negative battery and the left solenoid post I get 11. When I place it on the right large post I get 0. When I press the gas I get around a 3. Weird thing, I just checked again and I got 12+ on the left and when I pressed the gas it worked and I got 12+ on the right. Does that mean it’s going out, but still has some life left in it? Replace? Good news is it’s running…for now

No problem So yes if it only got 3 volts and wouldn't turn over... but then turned over and got 12 it means your solenoid is hanging up sometimes and preventing cart from running...It will give out eventually, you testing and moving it around most likely freed it up which does work sometimes simply tapping it will get it working until one day it will remain stuck...Also double check your battery terminals are nice and tight just in case its not just a loose terminal wire...If not solenoid is culprit
