Mine is enclosed and not like the PDF file. It's the (-) lead so it should be able to be tested with a voltmeter to make sure but...

On my round receptacle from the outside shows this, (looking at the outside face):

Bottom right is (+). That’s the one I used to use when testing my pack voltage, putting in the red lead from the meter into the bottom, right hole and the negative meter lead to the main (-) of my pack or battery #4.

Bottom left is (-) to battery pack
Top center is (-) ground wire of 3 prong plug.

The picture on the PDF and also on the prior post makes it look like you would connect it to the bottom right which is NOT the negative lead based on my plug.

You need to test your outlet to make sure you're not connecting a jumper on the positive lead by mistake. It also might be a very good idea to either place on fuse on that lead or just bypass it in the charger, (I'll attach a picture to use,) and this way you won't have any issues.

The way that I jump the obc is to remove the 3/8ths amp fuse from the yellow holder and then connect the cart side of the disconnect fuse holder to the battery 48v neg post. If this kicks the charger on then it is likely that the obc is bad.

The contact inside the fuse holder is hard to reach so I use a jumper wire from the battery post to a #2 Phillips Screwdriver shaft and Holding the screwdriver by the insulated handle, insert it into the fuse holder to make contact...

Does this make sense? I think Gorhad's pic was correct.

Yes and Yes! The picture in the PDF file I attached from a Charger Manufaturer is too blurred but still actually looks like they have it connecting to the Positive lead of the receptacle which is a No No. They say connect to the negative lead but it does show otherwise.

If you open the fise holder and connect as I tried to describe you will not have to worry about polarity .... it's the way I was taught to do it. Good luck

I did mine the same way that Scotty is describing, by hooking to the line with the fuse in it, then to the battery, and my charger kicked in. I replaced the OBC and cart started charging correctly with no problems.
