Default 97 Club Car Potentiometer Identifying

I am very new to the golf cart world. I bought a 97 Club Car with some issues. The main issue is it doesn't move...lol... I found that the part which attaches to the gas pedal has the housing destroyed and completely broken off of the frame. I thought that this piece was call the potentiometer however it looks more like the pictures of the 98 and 99 models than the picture of the 97. It is triangle shaped with several copper connecters in it. Not even sure tis is the whole problem but definitely a problem.

That is where you need to start, if the housing is destroyed, just get a new one one.

97 ... yours would be a multistep potentiometer..... no worries, they all share the same body. If you want to swap out the housing or you can buy the complete unit......

96-67 had a square potentiometer under the floor. That was a rare couple of yrs. The rest have the V glide type of Pot.

I am having problems finding the part that is correct. If anyone has a suggestion how to find it for a good price I would appreciate it. Thank you for all your quick replies.
