I have a 2002ish Club Car and realized last year it was time for new batteries. I had the cables replaced on the batteries and everything worked fine for awhile, but as of late last year I can not charge the batteries at all. When I plug them in it blows the circuit breaker on the charger. I've tried another charger from a friend and have determined it's a cart problem, not a charger problem.

I live in a small town and have trouble getting service for the cart, but I'm not real handy with them myself. Is there a couple of easy things I can try to trouble shoot? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!
Does another charger work in your cart?

Does your charger work in another cart?

When you said you've determined it was a cart problem, not a charger problem... how or what made that determination? If you're tripping your 120 volt breaker it would seem to be the charger, not the cart. I believe there are tests within that online manual you now have that can be preformed to determine what else might be the problem with the charger before sending your cart to a shop for testing.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll dive into the online manual.

I did try another charger on my cart last season, but have not this season. I'll try that again. I have not tried my charger on another cart though. Good advice.
