Alarm in forward

I just received a old club car with the house I purchased. I think it is about a 1990 model. I cleaned it, installed new batteries and got a charger. It works well but the alarm comes on when in forward if I take my foot off the accelerator. The reverse alarm works properly. The questions I have are how I can determine the year/model so I can get a manual, and where should I start working to fix the alarm from going off in forward. Thanks!
