starting a new project...tire/wheel question
Hey everyone for christmas my dad and I are starting to rebuild a golf cart. I was given a budget of 4,000 dollars-and I purchased a 2002 EZ GO 48 volt in perfect condition for 1400 ( brand new batteries as of december 2010). I honestly have no clue about golf carts-my dad knows some-but I am so thankful i have found this forum because i have a lot of questions! We have a lot of things to do with it-first off though i'd like to lift it and get some new tires and rims. I have read that Jakes lifts are the best-so i am going to go with that. But when it comes to wheels/tires i am lost. I want some pretty cool rims...not that stock junk :)...but i am not looking to spend 600 per tire/rim which i have read a lot of people can do without blinking an eye. Can anyone steer me in the right direction? also...are 22 inch tires a good size? thanks!

Check with the site sponsors on lift, tire and wheel packages. They offer them cheaper as packages and some of them offer a member discount on top of that.

Re: starting a new project...tire/wheel question
I think you could do nice rims and tires for $1000. Make sure they have the correct offset and diameter to clear the Jakes lift kit. I'm sure a site sponsor that sells the Jake's could lead you in the right direction. I think some of thier kits require a larger rim and tire to clear.
