EZGO Steering Swap

Hi, I have a 1994 Ezgo TXT and the steering box is worn out it slips when turning left or right but when i kick the wheels past totally straight in either direction left or right it will steer until i straighten out the wheels and go to make another turn.

My question is can I take the steering from my 1990 Ezgo marathon electric and put the whole steering setup on my 1994 Ezgo TXT Electric even though the 1990 marathon has a different setup from the 1994 txt. Does anyone have expirence with this and can help me.

NO Stop NEver

1990 had an old fashion steering box the new steering is rack and pinion...... likely you have a tooth or 2 missing on the rack it is available alone or as part of a total rebuild kit = rack and pinion....
Don't do it ... don't butcher it
