Question Re: What year

By the look of it its a marothone. 80's model. Does it have a controller or coils? There should be a tag on the passenger side glove box area with a number.
If it has a cntroller then it's a 89 or later. Unless someone has upgraded it.

Is it worth it? That depends on you wanting to work on it yourself and fix it up. I buy them all the time for that. That's not a bad price if you plan to work on it and have the time to do it. If you want a cart to just ride then you may want to look for a newer one with a good set of batteries.

The cart is a 1989 -1994 marathon. Likely a controller car well worth the $300 tag is it's complete (with charger) and runs with batteries. Jump right in the water is fine
