Re: DS Charger Question
Yep at least it worked out
Whats the Grey wire test. You know when you go through the threads on what to research you find a lot of information but not any specific order. Figured WTH if the charger will charge jumpered as 3-30 says over the relay the cart will charge. Basically the shop said if the lights lit and you can get the cart to move (even shudder) then you should have enough power to trip the relay.... |

Re: DS Charger Question
I have studied the schematic and devised a trouble shooting scheme for charge problems
when you jump the charger you are only checking (what I call ) the bottom half and this is my second step 1 Grey wire test by running the grey wire test you check the batteries, grey and red wires going to charge receptacle there fuses ( if there are fuses) charge receptacle, plug, plug wires to charger and relay coil, and bottom half of charger if it comes on this cuts the OBC out of the picture. 2 Charger jump test if the above does not actuate the charger then you jump the charger which must be taken apart to do so, now this step again cuts the trouble shooting in half If step one works then you move to obc trouble shooting if step two works then you know its upper charger which include all things mentioned above. if step two does not work then its lower charger testing If you cut your problems in half each time you eliminate whole sections and are not jumping around. steps one and two could be reversed I chose this way because of the 200 screws in the charger |

Re: DS Charger Question
Good Advice, I did not see a link or sticky on the Grey check... Or in the book, but I might have skimmed over some pages when I got to the suggestion in the manual to jump the charger.
Got lucky... |
