Electrical question - mysterious white wire
Guys, I'm changing out the generator on my ezgo and doing some periodic maintenance as well. Anyone know what this white wire is for? It comes out of the top of the engine below the air filter assembly. Don't see any connection off that it could fit to. Any thoughts what it is for?
Thanks in advance! Ezrider |

Re: Electrical question - mysterious white wire
I don't know for sure, but have read somewhere it might be for an oil pressure switch that is not used on all applications, hence it is just dangling there. I think the 295 Robin I recently pulled from my TXT has it also, not connected to anything.

Re: Electrical question - mysterious white wire
Yes indeed it is an oil pressure switch. If you wanted to you could put a nice 12 volt bulb on the dash, wire one side to the side of the ignition that is live with the switch on and the other side to that white wire. Now you have a little protection for your engine.
