Default Club Car Series Controller + EZGO Series Wound Motor

Is is possibble to use these two together? I would be using the 5k to 0 throttle input that matches with the Silver Curtis controller off a 96' 48 volt club car. The motor is currently mounted on a 98 TXT Series EZGO cart. Basically I want to put the club car controller and throttle on the EZGO cart. Am I insane or is it possible to make it work?

Series is series, it will work. But check that controller size. Ezgo is heavier than CC and used a minimum of 275 amps to play golf. you may have a 225 or 250 amp control? ... anything else will require more power.

Scotty B, i forgot to mention the EZGO Motor is a 36 volt motor. It will be running on a 48 volt system. The controller came off the 48 volt cart and is the 225 amp one. So will this setup work? Or still need more power?

That makes a difference. While much smaller than anything I would recommend... if you are determined to use parts on hand ... it will work. It may not be impressive off the line or up the hill but, it will produce about 16 mph in a stock cart on the flat ground.
