Default Cart runs slow

After installing new batteries on my club car golf cart it runs very slow and will go forward by itself if the break is not on. Moves but very slow.

Welcome to this great forum...

We need a bit more information. What kind of cart do you have? Do you know the year? Voltage?
Serial number would help, it's under dash in the middle. Did the cart run with the old batts?

. . . what is the pack voltage? . . . . batteries may be on low side even though new . . . or possibly a bad battery . . .

Thanks for response. The year model is 95. It has 8 volt batteries that read 8.5 volts each. Serial number A9502 419030. The year may not be right as there is another tag saying 99 but it is on the front side of the battery compartment. The cart ran fine until the batteries would run down before 18 holes of play was finished. Checked batteries and had 4 bad ab
Nd 2 very weak. Load test would not hold.

It was the v-glide. It case was loose on the frame and would move ever so slightly when ingaged forward.
