Something's not right Mike. They stopped making G9's in 94. 2003 is probably a G22, and Jake's makes an aftermarket pair of springs to adapt to your shocks.

Do they have heavy duty springs for a '92 G8? If they say fits a G8, will they fit ALL G8's?
Thanks

G8's have shorter shock, due to where they are mounted. Don't really know, I believe mine are from a G1.

I did find some. They say they fit a G8, but they don't say a year. I looked at Yamaha's site and they made the G8-A from 1990 to 1994. Also, they use the same shock for all the years, so I guess I just answered my question. If they say they fit a G8, they fit ALL years.

Well I purchased the heavy duty springs, recieved them, and tryed to install them. They would not fit over the stock shock. I sent them back, and now recieved the complete shock with the heavy duty springs on them. They say they fit all G2-G22's. They look good. Can anyone tell me what size the shock mounting bolt for the G8 is? I can't remember if I used a 17mm socket to remove the old ones. That would make it a 10mm bolt. The bolt part number is 95817-12065-00.

Thanks

I had the same problem on "Wilson's" G8 rear shock HD springs, I ended up cutting some material off the upper spring retainer. Should be a 14mm head on the bolt and nut. Hope the assembler at the factory installed the bolts from the front of the car or you'll be pulling the rear body off I hate those Friday builders!
