Default 2002 EZGO Electric Issues

Hi all.

I consider myself to be a pretty good problem solver, but this darn car has me stumped. Replaced all the batteries and have working lights and a power meter that shows full; however, whenever I press the accelerator - nothing. On top of that the power meter goes blank.

My initial guess is a solenoid, but I yield to those on this experience with far more experience then myself.

Thanks,
Paul

Welcome to BGW!

Is the direction selector by your right knee (series drive), or a rocker switch on the dash (PDS drive)?

Check the battery orientation. One may be in backwards.

Most likely not the solenoid.....

CONGRATS on the ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to BGW. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wive's, husbands, girlfirends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

Switch is by the knee - not on the dash. Initially I put all the batteries in backwards like a dumb dumb and noticed something was wrong after things didn't work correctly. They are now correct.

Does the reverse alarm work correctly?

Also, please measure the pack voltage directly from the cart charge receptacle (right where you plug the charger in).

Noise is there, but weaker then normal and cuts out when the pedal is pressed.
