Cart Hesitates
I bought a '09 prescendent, 48v that had a few cosmetic upgrades. It ran fine for a few months but it would hesitate, irregularly, when you took off. Now it wont run or maybe it will for a few feet. The thrtl relay,MCOR, showed good vs ohms & volts, but the solenoid wouldnt pk up. I played with it and got it to working sometimes, and now once the wheels are turning I can pull one of the control wires loose and hear the coil drop out, but the wheels continue to turn! I can pull either of the control wires and hear the solenoid snap open and close but it doesnt effect the motor. The voltage across the solenoid to the motor stays the same and it keeps running!!!
Is this right? Once the main solenoid contacts close do they hold until you stop? Can I open this solenoid and clean it or is this a throw away? When testing with the foot pedal if I ever let it come up high enough to dis-engage the micro switch the wheels seem to stop, but when I push far enough down to make the micro switch in the MCOR again the speed picks up, sometime. Sometime the solenoid closes/snaps but the wheels dont turn ????????? Not sure I understand everything I'm seeing. Need some helping finding this without ordering a FEDEX truck full of parts to figure it out. |
