"79" G1 vs. "83"
Do any of you G1 owners know what the main difference is between a 79 and a 83 cart engine is,do the carbs interchange and are the electronics basically the same? I'm having truble finding parts for my old "Tank".

Re: "79" G1 vs. "83"
Shouldn't be any difference in the engine, but the carb might be a little different but the same size. In theory, you should be able to swap parts pretty easily. As long as you are sure that the newer one is not an '82 model, because those were the dreaded low compression engines and are quite different.

Thanks,I think you're right about the carb, even tho the oil and gas feeds are on different sides(I ordered a 83 carb)I think I can deal with that.
