Default 1994 ezgo marathon huge tires and no bottom end..please help

I have a 1994 ezgo marathon 4 stroke. I put a set of 26 inch tires on it and completely lost the bottom end.I stop on a hill and it wont even take off.Flat road does great. What can i do to get the bottom back?I read about springs and belts and stuff like that.I dont want to guess at it,so i was wondering if someone knows for sure the fix.Im not hill climbing,i just want to take off on a hill if i stop on one...thank you,,,please help me

The things you read about, new or shorter belt, springs that engages the clutch at higher rpms, etc are all things that should be tried first. I think most folks here are going to try to help but it's going to be a process of things to try. Unless you want to drop a nice coin on a bigger motor that you know will have the power, you're going to have to try a few different things to see what makes the biggest difference. All of those things will help, especially collectively so it's not like you will be wasting you money.

The best improvement you can make is get some smaller tires
This will help more than shorter belt or stiffer spring.
