It's actually pretty easy. You won't hurt anything.

Try one more test before you take it apart.

Follow the F1 wire from the starter, back to the switch. Check voltage, with pedal pressed, between that point on the switch and A1.

Now follow the A2 wire from the starter, back to the switch. Check voltage, with pedal pressed, between that point on the switch and A1.

Both should read 12v.

Does it try to start if you wiggle the switch?

Ok, took apart the F-N-R switch and sanded all the contacts w/ 220 grit, and wire brushed the poles and the cable ends. Put it all back together, and same result. Just to be sure I didn't reverse the wiring to the micro switches.... The 'reverse warning switch' is mounted between "D" and "C", and it only has a blk wire coming from the ignition switch? The Neutral limit switch is mounted between "B" and "C" and has red wire from the other ignition switch terminal to the micro switch terminal below the wheel, with the blk wire from the accelerator switch connected to the other spade?

Does it matter which wire red or blk is connected to the ignition switch terminals? I don't see where they are marked in any way, but I did replace the ignition switch.

If the solenoid is pulling in, the starter should turn. The other wiring can be figured out after you get the starter to turn over.
Heres a test to see if the switch is working or not.

You should ONLY do this test in forward.

Remove the wires on the starter at the F1 and A2 terminals. Insulate them so they can't ground out.
Take a set of jumper cables and jumper the F1 to the A2 terminal.
Press the pedal and see if the starter turns.

I may try to jump it tomorrow, it's getting close to quitting time....
Looking at the wiring diagram, A1 connects to "D" and "A2" connects to "B". So with the pedal pressed should I be getting 12V across "D" and "B"? If so, I'm not.....

That is correct. Something is either wrong with the switch, or the wiring to the switch.

I just checked F1 and A2 in "F" and I'm getting 12v....

It has to be the wiring to the micro switches, because I didn't monkey with any of the big wires.

You mean between F1 and A2?

It's not the micro switches. If the solenoid is pulling in, and you have +12 on F2 terminal, the starter should be turning.

No, the only wires I took off originally were to the reverse warning and neutral limit switches. One of the blk wires was brittle and it broke off, and somewhere along the way the blk wire from the accelerator switch was lost. I didn't take if off, but it was missing so I created a new one based on the wiring diagram.
