Default secondary sheave

Just put the plowmans kit on and I noticed that on the moveable sec sheave, the "ramps" on the back are about 1/2" from touching the 3 rubber ramp shoes. I also noticed after driving it around a little its getting closer but still dont touch at idle. Will this hurt anything? Would it cause it to loose topend?

I had this too. I stuck a screwdriver to lock up the spring seat/input shaft and turned the sheave by hand to close the gap.

This is normal, you can pull them together as MH suggests or they will automatically when a good load such as a hill climb is put on the secondary. :)
