G22 upgrades not too responsive???
Did an up grade on my G 22; 8:1 gears, oversized carb nozzle, Pullman HP muffler, stronger governer spring, punched a few holes in the air box, HP air filter, complete torque kit and removed foam in the air box. Better speed but not too peppy at take off and not really topping off at high revs. Smells gas and back fires. Does it need more air or carb adjustment?

Cables need adjusting and carb. Call Plowman's and they will walk you thru what to do. I have put the same kit with jet,air filter, muffler and clutch kit on a lifted g-16 and it was a very noticeable difference.
