Default I just bought what???

My very first (very old & worn out) cart. I've searched the forum as best I can; the info found indicates it's likely a Yamaha G2E but I'm not sure. There is no model or ser # tag to be found; likely covered up by repair panels

I'm beginning to think that instead of a bargain, "I may have stepped in doo-doo", but here is what I have.....
36V (six old batteries); big YAMAHA centered on front hood...Bench seat... "V" style charge connector behind passenger backrest...white steering column... on motor I find "DC motor, Model MT320-06...Output 2.0KW @ 2600RPM...Rate 0.5hr..
and #205 stamped into tag.

I know that I will need 6 new batteries and hoping I might find a used charger, but don't know what to look for until I identify what I have to start with.
Any help appreciated.

I forgot to mention that this cart does not have the traditional forward/reverse lever gear selector; instead it has a 3-way ignition switch, with center position "off"; and right/left position for forward & reverse.
Hoping someone will take the time to share their knowledge.

Early Yamaha's G1's and G3's used the key switch for f/r. If you can post some pictures (expetially solenoids) it would help. I beleive there is a "sticky" above showing serial# locations for G1's and G3's. Hope that helped.
