Front end alignment
Been playing with the front end to tighten it up and make it drive like it should. It's been out of alignment since I bought it and I haven't drove it a bunch but now I'm getting it all done and been riding it. The steering is OK but just not what I like.
I tried toeing it in and it made it worse. You could barely turn the wheel and it would dart all over the place, so I went out with it and seems to be better. Does this sound right. With the big tires I would think this to be true. Just wanted to hear what everyone else seems to think. |

Re: Front end alignment
based on what i've read in these forums, you're supposed to toe in 1/8" - 1/4" (front of tires closer than the back of the tires).

Re: Front end alignment
Weird, mine are fine toed-in and I have some pretty big tires too.
Have you checked your tie-rod ends? |

Re: Front end alignment
check all your steering for looseness. the brass bushing where the "swing" arm is is bad about wearing out and giving all kinds of issues. The rack rod inside teh steering is bad about wearing and causing issues.
Do some measuring and make sure your frt end isn't bent. Find a good solid point on frmae and measure from there. |

Re: Front end alignment
I think the first thing I need to do is weld the brackets down. These things are not what I would install on a cart if I had to do it again. I bought the cart like this though so I will make it work some how.
They are bolted to the spindale but still have slop in them. I may just tach weld them down. I have both of these I may see about swapping it out. |
