Default G2 rebuild questions

My trusty 1987 G2 got borrowed and came home seized up . No biggie . I pulled the motor and tore it down. The oil slinger broke and spun the connecting rod bearing. My question is two parts: (1) can I get the crank machined and get bigger bearings? or (2) can I just polish the crank with emery cloth and put the OEM bearings in?

Thanks in advance,
Mike

I just recently rebuilt the engine in a g14 as well it was seized. After polishing the crank it was still within specification installed new rod and bearing and was good to go. Also did a valve job and hone and new rings engine runs better than ever.
