Default rear spring mod.

have a 98 medalist. when i bought the cart it had a flip flop rear seat installed. the rear springs were W shaped, so i swapped them for a set of 4 leaf springs. then i got rid of the flip flop, and added two batts in the rear. the batterys weigh about 124#. it now has way to stiff a ride so want to pull a leaf or two out of the pack. how much do you think two loaded golf bags weigh? do you think i could get away with just two leaves and still have the batts back there without getting a W in the rear? any and all recomendations and opinions are welcome.

Jim, I would not go with less then 3 leaf setup. I think 2 is just too soft, and even carts coming out of the field with 2 leafs tend to be let's say sprung. With your lift and tires that it what I would do, but it is just my .02

Sorry, day late.....

I pulled the HD springs out and put regular TXT leafs on my workhorse. I tried removing the shortest leaf but it made it too soft. With the OE HD springs the ride in the rear was kickin our a__!

If it we me, I would take out the second longest leaf. That's why I went with a 3 leaf spring. It's still way stiffer than the stock ones.
