To get more speed with a series cart, you need to increase battery pack voltage or change the final drive ratio, or both. Taller tires effectively changes the final drive ratio, so going to a 22" tire would give you about 3-3.5 MPH more. |

I'm not sure about a Marathon, but a TXT is 12.44:1. From what I can tell, most guys go to bigger tires first.
I'm not into building carts, so I can't help with what is available or where to get it, but maybe some knowledge people will chime in. Check out the Site Sponsors, give them a call or e-mail. |

Seriously, have you up-graded the F/R switch and Solenoid. If not, you need to. Also, going from 12.44:1 to 8:1 will up the speed by about 37%, but will reduce torque by a similar amount and a 400A controller and 4Ga cables might be a little on the puny side. Good luck, have fun and be safe....... |
