If you can put your hand on it for more than a second, it's not over about 150F.

My Plumquick custom on a PDS , 22 tires runs 170-190 consistent. Like JohnnieB has said in other post, heat is cumulative. My nightly run with wife for sunset is 10 miles on road. I see temp with exray and used HF laser. 3 different motors all same. I experiment. Don't sweat it till 200, I just give it rest and never crawl along, that's the worst on PDS carts. The hand touch is misleading at best. Watch out for brake drag, I smoked my original PDS motor because of this.
