Can some one tell me absolutly yes or no will 12 inch low profile wheels fit a stock precedent or will it require a 3.5 inch lift kit.

Re: 12 inch wheels on precedent
I think you can run a 12 wheel you will have to have a tire with a very short side wall. Allsports offers a 3 inch lift which will accept 21 inch tires with 10 or 12 wheels.

Re: 12 inch wheels on precedent
2010 precedent with 215/40-12, I have a medium-duty rear spring, but that was a while ago due to the weight of back seat passengers.
These 40 profile tires have a good amount of sidewall. |

Re: 12 inch wheels on precedent
One of my golfing buddies has a 2006 precedent that has 12 inch wheels with 40 profile tires. Mine has 10 inch wheels with 50 profile tires. They both measure 17-1/2 inch high on the ground with cart weight on them 20 psi in tires.

What I can tell you from researching is that the major set back with 12" wheels on a CC is the wire chase located in the passenger side wheel well. This "might" rub a 12" wheel/tire when turned sharply. Again, it depends on the wheel/tire combo. From my understanding Madjax makes a Low-Pro Lift Kit 16-013 ($60) for this exact problem. It is a small aluminum block that gives the front a very small lift that prevents the rubbing. The wire chase can also be cut out and removed. The other problem is if you have a rear seat installed you would need heavy duty rear springs. |

Re: 12 inch wheels on precedent
The ones I posted are from a site sponsor and don't require any kind of lift. Actually I think it would look bad if you raise the front end. The rim offset becomes more of an issue if you have really wide wheels. The 215mm is the same width as the 8.5in stock tires.
