Need New Batteries. What Is The Latest & Greatest
I did a search here but didn't come up with any useful results.
My batteries are starting to die. But, they are 5-years old. My cart is the 48V Precedent running 4-12V Trojan T-1275 batteries. I'm aware technology changes and I haven't been keeping up since I haven't needed to make a major investment in batteries in a long time. My question, should I buy four more T-1275's or is there a better alternative? |

If you want the "latest and greatest", read the threads on this forum about lithium batteries. Several members have used lithium. The major advantages are less weight, greater cycle life, and increased voltage level over usable charge.

Cant really pay shipping so I would say what ever you can get locally ...Trojan , Crown would be up there ....I would check on going 6 8volt though instead of those 12's...some Precedent's are already cut out for them , some need a slight mod...

Want a superbad battery? Check these out
http://usbattery.com/products/12-vol.../us-185hc-xc2/ Not lithium but lithium is stupid money. I install these http://usbattery.com/products/12-vol...es/us-12v-xc2/ all the time. Great batteries, cost less than Trojan and in my opinion are superior. Check them out |

My cart would need the bucket conversion to put the 8V batteries in but to tell you the truth, I'm completely satisfied with the 4-12V setup. |

Re: Need New Batteries. What Is The Latest & Greatest
There are a couple Trojan dealers within easy driving distance from me and I requested quotes for my 1275 Trojan batteries from both of them through their web sites. Maybe tomorrow or probably Monday, I have both quotes for Trojan T-1275 batteries.
The best price that I find online for the T-1275's at present is border line $200 per battery with core plus tax. If any of you know a brand/model that will equally or out perform the T-1275's, at a better price, that's what I'm looking for. Longevity is a big plus too. I'm looking for batteries that will perform as well as what I have plus maybe get a couple more years out of them. |

The NAPA/East Penn batteries are a very good choice in my opinion. The information on this site about the napa batteries is outdated. Check out East Penn Manufacturing http://www.eastpennmanufacturing.com...ns/golf-carev/.
The east penn is the better battery attached spec sheet for both. |

I've been using us battery for the past few years, every since Trojan went to crap and it's the only battery I'll buy now. They back their warranty up 100% and make quality batteries.
