Radio insert
Does anyone know if there is a filler panel for the radio opening in a txt console?

A plain black cover (or any color) for the golf ball holder is on my want list to use as a cutting template and backer plate for a fairly unique piece of sheet metal with randomly spaced and sized small holes in it that I want to cover the golf ball holder space and space above the cup holder with. It is a side cover from an circa 1990 computer and the random hole pattern (air vents) is only in one of the lower front corners, so layout is critical, but I think I can get covers for both of the places I want to dress up. |

Re: Radio insert
Just cover it with a piece of plastic, or you can get this.

Re: Radio insert
Thanks for the links, but I'm just looking for a blank panel pre-cut for the hole in the dash.
Actually, I haven't really been looking yet, it is just something on my bucket list. I'll probably end up cutting a cover out of some plastic, fitting it, use it for the template I need and then use it as a backer for the perforated metal overlay that I want to use. Haven't made up my mind yet, but I'll probably mount the Digital Ammeter there and mount any switches in similarly finished blank panel above the cup holders. |

John, my local dealer has them. I'll get the part number for you.

Re: Radio insert
Just get a piece of plastic (or whatever) and cover it, The panel itself is only $2 less without the outlet and leaves you with a big hole in its place, and it still requires drilling to install.

Re: Radio insert
I just cut two pieces from aluminum plate. Took 5 minutes for both, including a little tweaking for the corners. Took more time to drill the holes than to make the blanks.
