Default Pushed pedal and nothing happened

Took the cart to the store today and came to a stop. I pushed the pedal and nothing happened. Pumped it a few times, get the click and drive home with no issues. Even stopped and started several times.

New batteries that are fully charged thanks to Scotty's on board charger. The connections look good on a quick visual inspection. I will unplug and clean all the connectors tomorrow.

What should I be looking for/testing?

It's a 1997 EzGo Series.

When you pushed the pedal and it didn't go, did you hear the solenoid click?

If this means you weren't getting the click (Solenoid energizing) when it wouldn't go and you got the click after pumping the pedal a few times (without moving anything else), I suspect it might be MS-3 (Micro-switch in ITS Box) sticking open.

If you moved the F/R lever, it might be one of those Micro-switches, they're wired the same way. (They use the NC contacts for "Go", so the little bitty spring inside the switch has to push the switch lever out to complete circuit.)

Also, might be the Reed switch in the charger receptacle if you bounced around on the seat much while pumping the pedal.

Intermittent problems are "fun" to find.

And don't overlook the key switch.

You need to catch it when it doesn't work to find where the solenoid activation circuit is stopped. Somebody will post the TXT series solenoid activation circuit.....

Power starts on the White wire on the 36+ of the battery pack.
Power travels to the charger receptacle, goes through a reed switch inside the receptacle and comes out on the red 12 gauge red wire.
The red wire travels back through the loom to the Forward and reverse switch where it attaches to a micro.
The other side of that micro has a blue wire attached that runs under the cart to the front and arrives at the keyswitch.
The keyswitch then transfers power to a green wire which returns to the area of the Forward and Reverse switch.
the power then goes through a 4 pin Molex connector and travels to the "peddle Box" (located under the floorboard of the car) where it goes through a micro and comes out on another red wire.
That red wire comes back up to the Controller/F&R area where it once again goes through the 4 pin molex connector and continues on to the small post of the solenoid.

Wow, Colt! That sounds like a political agenda!

This is exactly what happened. Now I need to do a search on troubleshooting a MS-3.

Find a wiring diagram for your buggy. The diagram attached tells you schematically what connects to what, but it doesn't tell you "how" they connect.

Don't know what your electrical experience is, but if you spend ten or fifteen minutes with Colt's description above and the attached diagram (or one for your buggy would be even better), the solenoid activation circuit is pretty straight forward, but as JohnnB and ScottyB posted, there are a number of pieces all in series, so if any one fails, it won't work.

Next spend some time visually tracing physically how and where each wire runs. For example, The wiring diagram attached indicates KS1 attaches to MS3 by a green wire. In fact, the green wire from KS1 goes near the FNR, where it connects with a blade terminal to a four conductor MOLEX plug, where it goes to the ITS box.

Once you are familiar with what goes where - this is important with an intermittent problems - simply break out your DMM and start tracing from battery positive through the switches until you find where power is stopping. CAUTION, if you choose to troubleshoot this way, make sure to take proper safety precautions - such as jack stands. Don't want the buggy to suddenly lurch forward!
