Default Do I need to upgrade fuse when going to 48 volt

Hi ho fellows , a quick question , I am in the middle
Of my 36 volt to 48 volt conversion PDS TXT
Do i need to upgrade the 60 amp in Line fuse (charger side )
(Hooked to B+ side of batt. ) ? , and also I've seen on other threads
People have a 250 amp or higher fuse on B- batt. to controller
On my TXT (stock -36 volt) I had no fuse at all ? , on B- batt. to controller ?
I am going from T105 Trojans approx 225 -235 amp/Hrs .
To CR260 Amp/Hrs . (CROWNS) running 8- 6 volt batts .
Cheers!

The 60amp online fuse will be fine for the 48v upgrade. As for the 250amp controller fuses, I have never seen an OEM controller with any fuse protection. Even with a fuse I saw the magic smoke pour out of an Alltrax controller.

On the other hand, I have recently seen where the Alltrax fuse saved a customer's new control when he connected it wrong. The fuse blew instead of letting the magic smoke out of the control. If you are using an Alltrax you should use a Fuse as supplied. 250a fuse can be okay on a 400a control at 48v

Alltrax supplies a fuse with their controls. No one else does. You do not need a larger fuse with higher amperage.
