yes you are by passing solenoid giving motor current .. replace solenoid

Also why is our 36 Club Car much slower than our same year 36 Volt EZ-GO? Everyone always asks me.....How should I know? I'm not a mechanic....I'm an Electrician that rides a Fast Harley.....

OEM Part Number: 8016, 1019759-01 Note... This is an OEM replacement solenoid with copper contacts

could be a number of reasons .. bigger motor, better batteries , weight , bigger tires, etc

Not sure if it makes a difference. But my solenoid is different. It looks like this one.

So I Swapped out solenoid with another style we had in stock for our EZ Go. I have forward but no reverse. I hear the solenoid click in both directions. Does the diode have anything to do with it. I guessed at installing because the original had no markings. Our EZ Go has the diode across the Large terminals. The Club Car OEM had it on the smaller terminals. I installed it on the smaller terminals. Maybe I need to switch in other direction

LOL....LOL....LOL.....Buahahahahahahahahahaha

I forgot to connect the reverse cable back into the battery system....She's running again....Thanks so much for all the help. I just may be stuck with the task of repairing them all the time....Lucky Me.
