It seems one key is to keep them in use. To let them get run down and just set is most likely the worse thing to do. As long as they get re charged each time they seem to last longer.

I just checked them after sitting for 20 hours........38.7 , so I think that's pretty good.....not sure why charger was acting up before, I guess ill have to take them down again and recharge to see....

Budule, just curious, what brand were the old batteries?
What did you buy? And I do realize that the management of the batteries has as much to do with the life as anything before someone makes a comment about brands. |

Stowaways........which I think came from sams also......many years ago......were in it when i bought it......sams now has Duracell.....which I got for 85 bucks a piece.....
