Default Crown CR 165, 8 volt

I recently bought 2010 CC Precedent and the batteries aren't holding good charge. Good friend told me that Crown batteries were a big problem in their cart fleet.Could any one steer me in the correct direction.
Thanx

Welcome to BGW!

Are the batteries original to the cart? Crowns are said to be the best along with Trojan...

X2 on crown batts. there top notch , I have had great response from them so far
how old are the batts. in your cart ? , any batt . no matter what kind
Will not do well if they are not taken care of well . CR 165, is a fairly low amp/ hr battery for golf cart

That's the problem.... they replace a 190 ah battery with a 165 ah battery and bad mouth the manufacture? Crown batteries are good but any battery not sized right for the job will give poor performance and life.

The "Problem" he's speaking of was simply the battery caps. They leaked and all the acid came out of the battery. Eventually, a watered down battery that wouldn't hold a charge was the result. Keep the acid in them and they're great.
