Anyone have speed magnet on a GE motor cart
I have a 2003 IQ cart. It has the gray GE Motor with the black snap in speed sensor. I want to add the speed magnet, but I have heard some say it will work and others say it will not work. I know there are two different magnets. I just want to make sure someone has used it and it will work with my cart. Thanks for the help.

It works perfectly. I've installed quite a few.

I think you have to remove the motor to change it. Whatever you do DO NOT try taking the screws on each side of the speed sensor out to try installing it that way. I went another route after the screw up. I would like to know how the magnet comes off the shaft. It appeared to be glued or pressed on to me. Like I say I went another route.

I always just pry it out with two screwdrivers and it pops off. It's not "pressed" on per say... It's snugly tapped on with a small hammer. It should come off fairly easily.

Re: Anyone have speed magnet on a GE motor cart
Mine did not come off easily and I could not put screws back in. I learned the hard way. But then a certain so called CC dealer told me I had the motor for a speed magnet. This is the same one who did not use the appropriate hardware when securing new batteries.
So now I have a PQ bandit..... |
