Bad charger or bad something else?

You plugged a drill into the outlet..........but try the charger on a different outlet. This exact thing happened to me this weekend. It was a low voltage AC outlet.....just low enough that the charger wouldn't work but other items would. I was cursing for hours and tried every troubleshooting procedure on the cart and charger. Dang outlet!

Ok, I'll try other outlets. Do you happen to know what that lower threshold is? Is it 110V or 112 or something like that?

I just ran a continuity check on the red wire coming from the charging receptacle to the positive side of battery pack...0.00 on the ohm meter...so that's all good.

The outlet voltage measured 115V, and I tried another one too...same results.

Current pack voltage is 46.6v

I'm sure someone with more knowledge will chime in but I believe that voltage is to low for the charger to kick on.....you may need to individually charge the batteries.

Is 42 VDC where the charger will kick back in on its own? While I'd not do this with a pack of unknown quality or condition but I wondered if anyone has ever tried plugging the charger into a suitably sized timer that could cycle the charger on/off to keep the older batteries in a higher state of charge?

Teecro - removing A/C and then plugging the charger back in (AKA timer) will not cause an OBC controlled charger to cycle back on. The charger is completely dependent on the OBC to "tell it" to charge. You can only restart a charge cycle (at any time - even if the batteries are charged) by unplugging....pause....and plugging back into the cart's charging receptacle.
