Default Z lift

Does anyone have experience with the Z lift? how reliable are they and what size tires can you fit with the 6 inch Z lift. i know with the front you cut the frame and mount the brackets but how does it lift the back? Thanks for all comments

Spend the extra money and go with an A-arm lift for durability and safety. Cutting the frame, IMO, is just not a good idea - even the cheap A-arm kits (like I have on my cart) are far better than a Z-lift in terms of safety and durability.

The rear lift on a Z lift or an A-arm just puts the axle under the rear springs, and usually utilizes a lift block between the axle and spring. I did see a Z-lifted cart once that just had REALLY long shackles on the rear springs though.

Any one of the site sponsors is a good place to buy lifts, as for the cheapest, you'd just have to click through and check. I like Golf Cart King. A 4" lift will clear 22" tires, but 6" is much more widely used, and IMO looks better with 22s.
