CC won't accelerater as it used to

I was gone 4 months, came back, it was fine.
Left for another 3 weeks, and this is what it does:
1. If I floor the accelerator as I used to, it starts to stutter, as if a belt was loose.
2. If I accelerate gently it will get up to a speed almost as much as it did before, but the slightest hill makes it slow down some. It does, on a flat run, reach very close to the max speed it used to do.

It's a 2001 Club Car. This is Florida, so there aren't any hills, only slight inclines, even on the golf course.

Sounds like a definite battery problem. Is it a 36 or 48v cart? I would do a load test on the batteries.

"stutter" is a classic sign of under voltage ... just had one today ! pack voltage was 41volts ..worked fine after i charged it ...checked his charger it was not putting full charge on batteries
after you check batteries put on a full charge and let us know the pack voltage after 12hrs rest

How old are the batteries, last year that happened to me with my cc and I had a bad battery, I would replace the one with a used and it was fine. After the 3 rd time went with all new batteries and it runs like a champ.

Carts are like boats. Break Out Another Thousand for new batteries.
