Default Battery pack reading double

Installed new batteries in my 2011 EZ GO TXT. For some reason the battery pack is reading 110v. I checked all the wires and they are going pos to neg all the way through. What could be the issue????

Thank you for the response. I will change the batteries. The downside is that my charger is flashing red now, so I am assuming it was something else as well?

Replaced the battery in the voltage meter and it is still reading double. Even the 8v batteries are reading 17v.
The charger is flashing red too.

Well first you need to at least proof test your multi-meter; check against your car/boat battery, get a reading from a wall socket etc... If you swear you hooked all your connections up the right way there are only so many options or things that can be wrong...

Ok, I checked a regular battery and it was reading double. So I am getting batteries tomorrow. Still don't understand why the charger is blinking red. Almost like a loose connection, but checked the wires.

Disconnect charger from cart, disconnect charger from wall. Check over all your connections to confirm clean, snug and correct. Take cart for a ride. Connect cart to charger and charger to wall... Can't hurt and you will enjoy the ride...
