Smile Re: magnet can't be this hard

Everybody has trouble with these...last one I did the person before me drove the magnet all the way down the shaft so there wasn't any space to pry it out...so out came the motor...what a pain!

My cart has other issues obviously. I only gained speed from 13.6 to 14 mph. I have to look at other reasons now. THis is going to be a real learning experience.

Does your serial number start with PH, PD or PU

Ok so I see where its AQ so look first at brake or bearing drag, in tow mode how hard is it to push your cart around? Tires well aired up? What about battery pack strength, charged and rested voltage as well as under load voltage?

No brake drag. Batteries all at 52 after resting. Noob. How do I check load voltage. Another thing. Per Dave at revolution I was trying to check throttle cable tension. On my 97 I hear a click as soon as I depress accelerator. On the IQ 2002 ds I have to depress it 2 inches or so to get click. Dave mentioned tightening with a rubber hose cut and I also read about using a wire tie as a shim. Is this something I should be looking at?

It sounds as though your not getting full throttle if you have to push 2 + inch before click. But I know nothing about the DS and how the MCOR is hooked up to the pedal.

As to reading load voltage drop it is best if you have a voltage meter built into the dash so that you can watch it anytime but other wise connect your multi-meter to your batteries with alligator clips and route the meter where you can see it whilst driving.
