Was 80 sat, raining like crazy today. I did run the cart around and hauled some wood. Zipped down a field and suddenly was all water from the last rain, I kept it hammered and planed right over it lol. Maybe doing 35 or so. Working on my mower need to fix some things and grass is turning green.

The marina's yard sale was today BUT the island was so crowded we used the car rather than the cart. I really didn't want to test out the the Facet fuel pump set up under those kind of conditions.

Well cruising around NRracing's site I see the at one time produced VC 4.510 billet connecting rod is in stock. This rod with the flat top cast piston along with the 69mm crankshaft allows you to have zero deck 92 mm bore clone engine such as the VC 460 long rod engine I have run since 2016. Interesting development to say the least.

I see Red Beard posted a high rpm 420 hemi build on youtube. I think his RPM limit is unrealistic BUT Stay Tuned as the old saying goes.

Finally got Vicki out today to do test runs with the new Facet fuel pump. As far as I can tell this change has not altered my carb tuning set up. Early days, so stay tuned

A few more runs on Vicki. The Facet pump is really quiet. I took Izzy for a walk around the marina. First time I walked her since the knee injury. So hopefully it will continue to improve and I can avoid any surgery. Another stay tuned

They have the cross street I normally use for Izzy's marina walk and the carts drive to the post office closed off for construction of the natural gas line being installed here on the island. Izzy got a shorter walk( still pretty windy after this weekend storms) and the cart got a very different route to the post office. Vicki lights right up with the Facet fuel pump and tune seems better than ever. That might be due to the air is still pretty cool coming off the bay.

I had Vicki out everyday this week. All is good. Tomorrow is the Horseshoe Crab festival here on the island. I see they brought in a ton of portapotties and have different colored Horseshoe crab paintings on the roads marking out the tourist path around the event. I hope the weather cooperates as the report doesn't look good. BUT many times the forecast isn't correct.

Terrible amounts of gnats along with rain really made for a very short Horseshoe Crab day for us. I hope it was enough to help keep this dying out species more funded.

While on the subject of being bugged by bugs I dug out my horsefly converted to green head fly traps and set them up. A new experiment for this year will be what "bait" will work if any for the also biting strawberry flies which will start swarming soon.
